Current JHERA Committee members.

Carol Budd
Carol Budd – I’ve lived on Barnet Grove with my partner since 1986 and have been involved with the community since then. Happy to organise events and help to keep this part of London special.
Adam Cottam (Green Spaces) – I joined the Committee in order to focus my efforts on improving the nearby parks and open spaces for families, individuals, young and old. Working with residents' groups and the council I strongly believe we can make inspiring spaces for us all to use.

We, my partner Joseph and I, came to Wimbolt Street just before the pandemic hit London. It was a time for us to get to know, and appreciate, our neighbours and the spaces and places in which we had come to live.

When I moved to Wimbolt Street I recognised quickly a strong community spirit. It was something I had not found in other areas of London in which I had lived. It is special. I will work hoping it can continue to be strong and lasting.
Wendy Clien
Wendy Clien – I have lived on Quilter Street for over 20 years. I’m very impressed with the neighbourly spirit and sense of community. I joined the committee to give something back.
Nick Fiveash
Nick Fiveash (Police Liaison) – I have lived on Baxendale Street for over 20 years and love how our community respects and supports each other in good times and bad. As an entertainment publicist I aim to help out in events & fund raising and as the son of a policeman I am committed, in my role of JHERA Police Liaison Representative, in making sure crime is not allowed to escalate in the neighbourhood.
Kate Evans
Kate Evans (Treasurer) – As a local resident and business owner on Columbia Road am happy to liaise with both the local Columbia Road businesses and residents. Other interests include supporting JHERA over the next few years and developing community events, whether those centre around our green spaces, social events or the work of the JHERA Committee for the Freedom Pass Group. I now live on Columbia Road above our shops, but before that I lived on Durant Street and have been living in the area since 1985.

Deb Peel – I have lived here since 2008. The Jesus Green Estate is an amazing community to be a part of and we live amongst some fabulous older residents who have lived here since being young. I joined the JHERA committee in order to support our older residents to continue to be a pivotal part of our neighbourhood and to reduce any isolation through the Freedom Passers Group. We deliver hot meals and treats to our Freedom Passers and ensure they have someone friendly to talk to or get support from if needed.
Robert Robinson
Rob Robertson (Freedom Pass Liaison) – After growing up in Bethnal Green, I returned to the area in 2012. I’m interested in Jesus Green events, particularly the Sports Day and harbour a dream of an outdoor cinema on the green in summer!
Tom Spendlove
Tom Spendlove (Chair) – I have lived on Wimbolt St for just a year, but 2022 is my tenth anniversary of living on the Estate and my two brothers both live within 100 yards. I love that this is a place in London where you actually know your neighbours, and want to encourage that as much as possible.
Kate Warwick
Kate Warwick (Secretary) – I’ve lived on Wimbolt Street since 2005. I’ve enjoyed the JHERA socials in the past and felt it was time to give something back to our community by helping out on the committee. I’m particularly keen on our green spaces, my garden and drinks on the Green.
